In your life, in moment sweet sublime
Air fragrant with rose and wild thyme
Love will knock softly at your heart
For such is her way and her art.

Heed her call or she’ll not stay
But leave; and you, in cold break of day
Wonder who slept with you last night
And why but now your passions excite.

Too late it comes in morning heat
For by she’s passed. Now incomplete
You yearn to have that chance again
Yet loves sharp sting dwells deep in vain

But take sweet love when soft she taps
While round you wings she gently wraps
And free, your soul, your bliss will leap
From cobalt sky to ocean deep

Beware you of those wings that hold
Therein hide spurs of stinging gold
For love gives all and nothing too
Will steal your hope, yet hope renew.

She called on me in autumn pass’d
I fought, but let her in at last
And in came she, sweet aspect fine
Of vision perfect, of soul divine

She talked to me of dark and light
Caused love thought dead to reignite
Her kisses roused strong passion deep
When both lay down yet not to sleep

Our minds together flow as wine
Our skin with passion’s dew refined
The links of faith that bind our souls
Were forged in truth, life’s glowing coals

Togetherness that’s rarely seen
Sometimes yes, more oft a dream
We walk together toward the sun
Our joy so pure, we are as One.

In she whose arms I trust my fate
Is succour, hope, my love’s estate
And freed; our hearts will stay the test
We are at peace, forever blessed.

Alone from far to know is hard her enigmatic mind
She shares with few its tenderness with those who care to find
The truth is there in warm dark eyes yet would you make the time
To find a way inside the soul, to feel, not see that sign.

In stature slight yet large in heart I wonder at her might
For here in paradise on earth yet glows this lantern bright
Some sadness hides behind those eyes, a haunting glimpse to see
True happiness eludes perhaps, but who can tell but she

Dear comrade true, a confidant when secret words are shared
An open mind and thoughtful friend for few who’s souls lay bared
Yet who seeks she when hurt arrives her character to shape
I pray she holds a friendship too, her pain away to take.

Abroad with friends in candlelight a smile perhaps alas
For as a bird, lies still to wait, the strangers by to pass
But patience brings such rich rewards when time enough is pass’d
As like the bird when dangers by, its song will sing at last.

Within this mood emotions play as time away we while
Then forth it bursts, great joy to see, those lips with fleeting smile
